Wadi Rum – welcome to Mars

Have you been on Mars? Apparently I was and without knowing about it 🙂

Last week I went to watch a movie “The Martian” and from the first scene I felt I already had been there. It was such strange feeling then you watching a movie about Mars and trying to remember on which peaks you was climbing some years ago 🙂

After movie the first thing I did I checked location where movie was shot to confirm it was the place I was thinking about. It was now mistake. It was Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. Apparently filmmakers already used this location before to shoot it as surface of Mars. In 2000 it was “Red Planet” and “The Last Days on Mars” in 2013.
